Lauri Ratia, 78, is a government professional whose name is associated with Turku shipyard, Terrafame and Stockmann. He has also managed to work at Nokia.
In 1987, Ratia became the company’s corporate planning director, such as Actually heard – program today on TV1 tells. At that time, Nokia was going through a big change in the direction of electronics, but the days of greatness were still waiting for themselves. When they arrived, Ratia had already continued her journey.
Supplier Juha-Pekka Rantala asks in her interview if Ratia has regretted that she missed out on the Nokia success.
– This question is asked very often: why did this happen? For me, because I was greatly upset by two of my close associates, viz Timo HA Kosken and Kari Kairamondeaths. I decided shortly after that I would go for greener grass on the other side.
Koski died of an illness on his way to work. Kairamo committed suicide.

It has always been important to Ratia that she has a meaningful life outside of corporate life as well. Family and friends are important, as are exercise and music. His current married wife does the latter Päivi Pousarin with. Pousar is a violin teacher with whom Ratia, who plays the trumpet, has founded Duo Garage.
