THEThe beginning of the year brings not just to make good resolutions for the future, but also to look at what the future has in store for us. This is particularly true for families, always dealing with countless expenses that constantly increase: the Government has made some initiatives available to them to cope with daily life. Not decisive, perhaps, but still useful. To find out about them you need to refer to Budget Law 2025, just approved.

Mothers still balancing: they often leave their jobs

But how many bonuses for 2025?

The new economic maneuver introduced a series of important innovations in the panorama of state bonuses and incentiveswith particular attention to families with medium-low incomes. We analyze in detail all the measures envisaged, from birth support to incentives for renovations.

Support for families with children

The New Born Card

One of the most significant innovations is the introduction of the “new born card“, a bonus intended to represent support for covering the first expenses related to the arrival of a child. This is a contribution of 1,000 euros for each child born in 2025. The measure is accessible to families with ISEE not exceeding 40,000 euros.

Nursery bonus boost

The nursery bonus it is not only confirmed but also strengthened for 2025. For children born from 2024, the maximum amount sells for 3,600 euros per year for families with ISEE up to 40,000 euros, regardless of the number of children. For families with an ISEE exceeding 40,000 euros, the amount of 1,500 euros remains confirmed. Applications must be submitted to INPS according to the methods that will be specified by the institution.

Deductions for Private Schools

An important increase concerns the deduction for enrollment costs in private schoolswhich rises from 800 to 1,000 euros. This measure aims to support families who choose private education for their children.

Family dowry

It is established the new “family dowry” fundintended for the partial reimbursement of expenses for sporting and extracurricular activities of children between the ages of 6 and 14. The benefit is reserved for families with ISEE up to 15,000 euros. The precise sums and access methods will be defined with subsequent implementation measures.

Support for work and working mothers

Bonus 2025 working mothers

The bonus for working mothers is confirmed and expandedbut with some significant changes. The measure is now accessible to female workers with taxable income up to 40,000 euros and is also extended to fixed-term contracts and self-employed workers with business income (excluding those on a flat-rate regime). The main requirement is to have at least two children up to 10 years of age. From 2027, for mothers with three or more children, the contribution exemption will extend up to the children’s 18 years of age.

Cutting the tax wedge

The cutting the contribution wedge turns into a tax onewith a double intervention track:

  • For incomes up to 20,000 euros a tax-free bonus is recognized
  • Those between 20,000 and 40,000 euros are subject to a deduction with a decreasing mechanism

Hiring incentives

The businesses will be able to benefit from a maximum deduction to 120% of the cost of labor for new hires, which will rise to 130% for the hiring of vulnerable workers. It was also introduced the IRES rewarda fiscal measure for incentivize companies to invest in new technologies and make new hires. In particular, companies that meet certain requirements can benefit from a reduction in the Corporate Income Tax (IRES) rate from 24% to 20%.

The main requirements to benefit from the IRES reward:

  • Profit accrual: Businesses must set aside at least 80% of their profit.
  • Investments: at least 30% of the profits set aside must be reinvested in technologically advanced or green capital goods.
  • Hiring: companies must increase employment and cannot have recourse to redundancy payments in recent years.
  • Working conditions: new hires must be permanent.

This measure is designed to stimulate economic growth and sustainability, but it is reserved for a limited audience of companies that satisfy all the conditions.

Psychological health and well-being

Bonus 2025 Psychologist

The psychologist bonus is refinanced with significant amounts:

  • 1.5 million euros for 2025
  • 0.5 million by 2026
  • 1 million for 2027

The contribution, to be requested from INPS, it is correlated to the ISEE income and can cover up to 50 euros per session.

Fund for psychological support in schools

It is established a new fund with an allocation of 10 million euros for 2025 and 18.5 million from 2026, intended for the psychological support of students through reference structures for schools.

Funds for prevention and treatment

Various funds are established or refinanced:

  • Fund for the treatment and prevention of obesity: 3 million euros in the period 2025-2027
  • Increase of 500,000 euros Fund for policies relating to rights and equal opportunities
  • Refinancing of Fund to combat nutritional disordersand: 500,000 euros per year for the three-year period 2025-2027.

Home and Energy Efficiency

First Home Bonus

The bonus for the purchase of the first home is confirmed, intended for:

  • Young couples
  • People up to 36 years old
  • Large families
  • Single-parent families with young children

The ISEE requirement remains fixed at 40,000 euros and applies to mortgages exceeding 80% of the value of the property.

Renovations and Ecobonuses

The panorama of incentives for renovations and energy efficiency undergoes some changes:

  • The ecobonus for windows and screening drops to 50% for residential homes and 36% for other properties
  • In the two-year period 2026-2027, a further reduction is expected to 36% for the first home and 30% for the others
  • The renovation bonus remains at 50% for first homes (with a spending ceiling of 96,000 euros), but drops to 36% for other properties
  • The earthquake bonus for the first home remains at 50%.

Furnishings bonus

He comes the furniture bonus confirmed with a 50% deduction on expenses up to 5,000 euros.

Appliance Bonus

A contribution is foreseen for the purchase of highly energy efficient household appliances:

  • 100 euros for standard purchase
  • 200 euros per family with ISEE under 25,000 euros.
