Many fireworks remains were found near the building, but it is unclear whether the fire was caused by fireworks. The help of the SBE from Limburg has been requested. This Specialist Fire Fighting Unit has the knowledge, skills and resources to support local fire brigades in fighting complex fires. Members of this SBE are deployed, among other things, to fight fire from within. It has now also been decided to demolish part of the building, and a company has already been engaged for this purpose.
The fire in Deurne is difficult for the local fire brigade to tackle, because it is raging in a business complex. This includes several companies without fire-resistant partitions, including a perfume store, a wellness studio and a driving school.
The fire brigade is present with, among other things, two aerial platforms and a number of fire engines.
