As of today, citizens and non-governmental organizations can contact a special reporting point for suspicions of civilian casualties due to Dutch military deployment. The reporting point can be found on Defense.nl.
Be accountable
The counter helps monitor the consequences of military action. Past cases can also be reported and registered retroactively. This way, Defense can be held accountable when necessary and reduce the risk of civilian casualties in future deployments. In addition, the reporting point will be the central place for registering reports. This also applies to reports that are reported during deployment via the internal line within Defense.
Afterwards
Military personnel and veterans (in actual service and post-active) may also need to make a report after a mission or operation. They can contact us for this Veterans desktheir manager or a confidential advisor coordinator from Defense.
