The time has almost come: New Year’s Eve is in sight. Loretta Schrijver is moving to a hotel near Schiphol especially for this occasion, but why exactly is she doing that? “The only option.”
We are almost exchanging the year 2024 for 2025 and that means lots of donuts and fireworks, weather permitting. Loretta Schrijver doesn’t like New Year’s Eve at all, mainly because of all the bangs that can be heard. In fact: for that reason the presenter is spending New Year’s Eve tonight in a boring hotel near the airport.
New Year’s Eve
It is no different, says Loretta The Telegraph. “At New Year’s Eve, I am going to a hotel near Schiphol with another friend and our dogs, because it is soundproof there and you are not allowed to let off fireworks around airports.”
A somewhat austere New Year’s Eve for the presenter, but she is looking forward to the new year. In 2025, she hopes to realize some travel ambitions, among other things. “Last week Lou asked, what would you really like to do? I once took a great cruise with Simone, to Latvia, Estonia and then we were able to go to St. Petersburg.”
Tour
Simone is Loretta’s best friend. Now they will relive that journey. “We have booked again. In January we will take a tour of the North Sea.”
“I would love to take a cruise with her to the North, to Iceland. On such a ship you are of course in a protected place with a doctor and pharmacy on board. So I do think it is feasible. I have no idea how, but the doctors should plan the chemo around that.”
