The long-awaited feature that makes using the webcam easier has finally arrived in the Windows environment.
Windows 11 is getting the desired webcam update.
Windows has long had a significant flaw. The webcam attached to the operating system has only been available in one program at a time.
This has caused problems, for example, in situations where you would like to use the companion application used with the camera to edit the image while the camera is in use, for example in Teams, Discord or some other service.
Now Microsoft has located the flaw in the Windows 11 version 26120.2702which, however, can only be used by beta testers belonging to the Windows Insider program.
According to Microsoft, the feature is intended to facilitate the tasks of sign language interpreters, for example, when it is possible to stream the same broadcast to both the audience and the interpreter at the same time.
The feature must be enabled separately from the settings, where permission is given to the operating system to use one camera in several services at the same time.
