Florian Dietz apparently can’t go any further at 1. FC Köln. As “Reviersport” reports, the 26-year-old striker is about to sign with the Austrian Bundesliga club SCR Altach.

Dietz is listed as one of nine center forwards in the FC squad and has only played 88 minutes in four appearances this season. He has been a professional for the Domstadt team since the summer of 2022, playing a total of 27 games and scoring three goals. Before that, he was part of the second team for two years.
Since the summer of 2023, its market value has only been pointing in one direction: down. While it was one million euros back then, it is currently 350,000 euros. That would put him at the back of the center forwards in Altach’s team. The Austrians are last with ten points after 16 match days, 13 goals scored mean the most harmless offensive in the league.
According to the report, third division club Rot-Weiss Essen was also interested in Dietz, but he refused – as did his teammate Steffen Tigges (26). Dietz’s contract in Cologne is dated until 2026. Altach would be his first stop abroad.
