Four defeats in the last five games: Manchester United is sliding deeper and deeper into crisis. In Wolverhampton there was also a sending off.

Even under new coach Rúben Amorim, Manchester United is having a hard time in the Premier League. The “Red Devils” lost 0-2 (0-0) to the Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 18th matchday of the top English football league and thus slipped to 14th place in the table.

Thanks to goals from former Germany legionnaires Matheus Cunha (formerly RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC) in the 58th minute and Hwang Hee-Chan (formerly Hamburger SV and RB Leipzig) in the ninth minute of added time, United lost the fourth of their last five league games. The traditional “Boxing Day” on Boxing Day turned into a sporting failure for United.

United playmaker Bruno Fernandes (47th) saw a yellow-red card. For Coach Amorim it was already the fourth defeat in the seventh game. The Portuguese moved from Sporting Lisbon to the traditional English club on November 11th.
