A large fire broke out this morning in a farmhouse with a large barn on the Hoofdstraat in Roderwolde. The flames were shooting high from the thatched roof of the building.
According to the Drenthe Safety Region, there are no people or animals inside. Because the fire spread quickly, several fire engines were called. The farmhouse appears to be completely lost.
The fire also spread to an adjacent building and the house in front of the barn. The buildings are all on the same property, where two families live. The fire broke out around 9am. The fire was under control around 10:30 am.
