Scents are everywhere, but in his latest exhibition Peter de Cupere focuses on the smells of nature and what climate change does to those smells. From forest fires to siltation to flooding: the Cupere tries to express every scent and make visitors smell consciously.

“I now smell more consciously when I go for a walk. That is important, also for the younger generation. We have to teach them to smell and thus allow them to make contact with nature,” says visitor Dominique Alen.

Scentopia runs until January 19 at CC Scharpoord in Knokke-Heist.
