Someone was slightly injured during an assault on a bus last night. The assault took place on line 27 from Hoogeveen towards Emmen station. According to eyewitnesses, the situation on the bus got out of hand after someone behaved aggressively towards the driver.
The later victim, who intervened to protect the driver, was then beaten by the suspect. Upon arrival at the station square in Emmen, the aggressive passenger gave chase. The victim managed to get to safety and called the police.
The aggressive passenger fled and has not yet been found. The victim has now filed a report. The police say they will continue with the case today.
