Recognition of attacks and social manipulation should be trained in workplaces. Microsoft Teams users have been tricked into giving remote management access to their machines. According to the security company Trend Micro, attacks made through social manipulation can be quite deceptive, Cyber Security News reports. At first, the attacker bombards the target’s mailbox with phishing messages. After this, the target person receives a contact in Teams from a person posing as a representative of a trusted entity. He instructs to install the Microsoft Remote Support remote management program, but when it is not possible to install it from the Microsoft store, the attacker recommends the Anydesk remote management program.
