Unsuspecting thrift store employee rescues first edition of ‘The Secret Annex’ by Anne Frank from paper container

A recently hired employee of a thrift company in Burgum, Friesland, has managed to save a copy of the first edition of ‘The Secret Annex’ by Anne Frank from the shredder. The woman fished the June 1947 edition out of the company’s waste paper container, the Dutch broadcaster ‘NOS’ reported. The book eventually sold for 3,550 euros.
