From a Ferrari to a commercial vehicle with a trailer full of hay: hundreds of different vehicles will drive onto the site on Friday afternoon. The drivers were picked off the road by the police to check them for possible violations.

“It’s the holidays and a lot of people take to the road in vehicles that are in varying condition and it is also the time of Christmas drinks. People enjoy a nice drink, but it must remain safe,” says Philip Vijfhuize, team leader of the Gooi Noord police.
“Today you mainly see defects in the vehicle: loads that are not properly secured, scooters that are in insufficient technical condition and also fat bikes that require some criticism,” the team leader summarizes.
Although not everyone gets away with a warning, the traffic control proceeds smoothly. “It’s not fun when you get caught, but you can see that most people have reacted in a positive and sporty way so far.”
