As part of the December updates, Transfermarkt also provided the Regionalliga Nord with new market values. Marwin Schmitz from the second representative of FC St. Pauli catapulted himself directly into the league’s top list of most valuable players with a starting market value of 200,000 euros. The 17-year-old midfield talent played 13 games in the first round in the men’s division.

Keeper and teammate Ronny Seibt (19) and Kiel goalkeeper Lio Rothenhagen (18) get in with 100,000 euros. Nikky Goguadze (26) from Bremer SV also has this plus (from 25,000 to 125,000 euros). The 26-year-old Dutchman scored 18 goals in 19 games and is consequently one of the biggest winners.

Jakob Johansson from SC Weiche Flensburg, however, recorded the biggest loss (-100,000 to 50,000 euros). At the top of the market value ranking – apart from the talents from the first and second division teams who are already part of the professional squad – are Schmitz, with 200,000 euros each, Werder’s Benjamin Atiabou (20) and Kein Sato (23) as well as HSV youngster Omar Megeed (19). .

This is how transfer market market values work

The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this will be here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed definition of market value).
