Part of the Titus Brandsmalyceum on Molenstraat in Oss has been evacuated due to a possible explosive in the schoolyard. According to the police, it was thrown onto the square on Thursday evening.
According to the police at the scene, it is a pipe-shaped object wrapped in plastic. The school janitor found this on the schoolyard and called the police.
Nothing exploded, but a number of rooms were evacuated as a precaution. The police are investigating on the spot. “We have distanced ourselves for safety. That is why the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service is also on its way.”
The Christmas celebration at high school will continue as normal.
Previous bomb threat
Last year, five secondary schools in Oss, including the Titus Brandsma Lyceum, were also evacuated due to a bomb threat. A student at the school then received an email about the bomb. Ultimately it turned out to be a false alarm.
