The Westfield Centro shopping center in Oberhausen is expanding its brand portfolio. On Tuesday, the operating company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) announced that the Stradivarius brand, which belongs to the Spanish clothing group Inditex, will open a store there in the second half of 2025.
Other Inditex brands are also relying on a larger presence in the Westfield Centro. Accordingly, the Bershka label has already expanded its rental space from 600 to almost 1,000 square meters, and the Pull & Bear store will in future cover around 1,000 square meters instead of the previous 670 square meters. “Both brands are establishing their latest store concepts in this context,” said URW.
It was also announced in October last year that the Zara chain, which also belongs to Inditex, would more than double the size of its Oberhausen branch. The reopening of the store, which will be Zara’s largest flagship in Germany with 6,000 square meters, is planned for the second quarter of 2025. “With the opening of Stradivarius and the existing tenants Zara, Bershka and Pull & Bear, there will be an even stronger profile for the Inditex brands in the Westfield Centro in the future,” emphasized the operating company.
The New Yorker clothing chain will also expand significantly. According to URW, it is currently expanding its Oberhausen branch from around 930 square meters to 3,000 square meters. The corresponding renovation work is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
