The US shoe manufacturer Skechers USA Inc. is continuing its expansion course in Europe. On Thursday the company announced the opening of a new concept store in Prague.
Skechers chose the Na Příkopě shopping street in the center of the Czech capital as the location. The sports shoe specialist now offers its products there on an area of 596 square meters.
With the new opening, the company responded to the rapidly increasing demand in Europe. “We have had great success in expanding our business across Europe. Most recently, we increased our sales in the EMEA region by 30 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2024,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers, in a statement. “We see our growing presence among consumers in the Czech Republic as an opportunity to build on our strong momentum in the region.”
Including the new concept store, Skechers now has eight stores in the Czech Republic. Six of them are in Prague alone, the other locations are Modřice and Ostrava.
