As of January 1, 2025, the amount of a number of benefits will be adjusted.

It concerns the:

  • Participation Act;
  • Income Provision for Older and Partially Disabled Unemployed Employees Act (IOAW);
  • Income Provision for Older and Partially Disabled Former Self-Employed Persons Act (IOAZ);
  • General Old Age Pensions Act (AOW);
  • General Surviving Dependents Act (Anw);
  • Work and Employment Support Act for Young Disabled Persons (Wajong);
  • Unemployment Act (WW);
  • Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act (WIA);
  • Disability Insurance Act (WAO);
  • Sickness Benefits Act (ZW);
  • Benefits Act (TW).

This is because these benefits are linked to the statutory minimum wage. The minimum wage will increase from €13.68 per hour (for a 36-hour working week) to €14.06 per hour as of January 1, 2025.

The minimum youth wages will also be revised as of January 1, 2025. They increase by the same percentage. In addition, child benefit will be increased in line with the development of consumer prices.
