HK’s Sininė has two halves of the run. The halves are disconnected from each other.
Message service X has wondered at what point HK’s Sininen’s sausages have separated from each other. Many have a strong memory in their mind that the halves of the link are attached to each other.
Iltalehti asked the manufacturer about it, who was told that the halves of the link were actually attached to each other before. However, the change came seven years ago, so it is by no means a recent change.
– In 2017, we switched to a new packaging line, where a robot lifts the sausages individually into the packaging. The halves of Lenk have been separated from each other since then, says HK Foods’ category manager Marika Rikkonen.
The blue links are produced in the Pakkala unit of HK Foods in Vantaa.
The skin of the leg is removed from the sausage before cooking.
– The shell is made of collagen, which is a biodegradable material made from natural materials, and it can be recycled as bio-waste. Due to its toughness, the peel is not edible, Rikkonen reminds.
HK Sininen entered stores 61 years ago. More than 400 million packages have been bought during these years. Today it is bought every four seconds, 22,000 packs a day.
Several different flavor versions of Lenk have been made over the years, but by far the most popular product throughout the ages has been the original. This autumn, the cut sausage version of the jogging sausage came to the stores.
