For four years, things were a little quieter around Balbina. In February 2024 she released her single “The feeling is dead”, an insight into her upcoming record “Infinity Tunes” in 2025. In keeping with this, the German-Polish singer will give two concerts together with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. ROLLING STONE presents.

Balbina about the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg
In an interview with ROLLING STONE in February 2017, Balbina reported on her experiences with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg on the occasion of her LP “Questions about Questions”. “It was great during the preparation to know that I could play with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. I had goosebumps from the first notes. I often sit quietly at my work and don’t expect any attention to it. But suddenly there comes a moment when you see a large group of the most talented instrumentalists playing your compositions. It’s one of the most beautiful moments you can have as a musician.”
The previous album
Warsaw-born Balbina Monika Jagielska most recently released her album “ Punkt.” in 2020. Here she also sings in English, unlike what the musician is usually known for. Among other things, “Point.” deals with emancipation, admitting one’s own weaknesses and the transience of being. The interpreter of “Langsam Langsamer” also presented this record together with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.
The art-pop artist is not only known for her solo anthems. Balbina was already on tour with Herbert Grönemeyer and was in contact with the rap scene.
