A block: Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Finland

The group for the Finnish women’s national football team in next summer’s European Championship was drawn on Monday in Zurich.
Helmarit will face Switzerland, Norway and Iceland on the EC turf.
Finland starts the tournament on its opening day (July 2) in Thun against Iceland. The match against Norway will be played in Sion on July 6. and host country Switzerland will meet in Geneva in the final match of the initial group stage on July 10.
In advance, it was feared that Finland would face clearly tougher futs countries, because it entered the draw as one team of four, together with Poland, Portugal and Wales.
However, the team was incredibly lucky, because Switzerland got a place in the first basket as host, even though it is clearly weaker than the others according to the ranking. In addition, head coach Marko Saloranna is very familiar with the playing styles of Iceland and Norway.
The raffle was being held by a lot of greats of the sport Verónica from Boquete to Caroline Seger. The Finnish ball was finally lifted by the winner of the Champions League in Real Madrid Sami Khedira.
Helmarit secured their EC place at the beginning of December, when the team defeated Scotland in Helsinki in the second match of the further qualification 2–0.
The European Championships will be played in Switzerland from the 2nd to the 27th. July 2025.
