Three matches in the twelfth day of the Super League. Milan wins in three sets against Taranto, Perugia beats Verona in the tie-break and, with the same result, Piacenza wins in Modena.

MILAN – TARANTO 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-21)

Allianz celebrates in the last home match of 2024 by inflicting a dry defeat on Gioiella. The driving force behind the Milanese team was Porro, a sniper in service and a Reggers top scorer who finished with 67% positivity in attack. One-sided match with Piazza’s team always in control while a good block attempt wasn’t enough for the Apulians to create difficulties for Milan.

Milan: Reggers 19 points. Walls team 5. Ace team 7 (Porro 4)

Taranto: Held 10 points. Walls team 7. Aces team 2

VERONA – PERUGIA 2-3 (19-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 7-15)

An immense Plotnytskyi, top scorer and absolute protagonist on serve and block, dragged Perugia to success in the marathon match in Verona against a Rana team who played at the Umbrian level thanks to the effectiveness of the block and with a Mozic in the evening of grace. Only in the tie break did the Venetians collapse after having dueled for a long time on equal terms with a Sir team who thus maintained their unbeaten season.

Verona: Mozic 26 points. Team blocks 9 (Mozic 3, Zingel 3). Ace team 6

Perugia: Plotnytskyi 27 points. Walls team 11 (Plotnytskyi 4). Ace team 10 (Plotnytskyi 6)

MODENA – PIACENZA 2-3 (21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 20-25, 6-15)

The Emilia derby is decided at the tie break, with Piacenza starting and finishing the match better while Modena prevails in the central part thanks to top scorer Buchegger but then suffers the comeback of Gas Sales made especially by Bovolenta and Galassi. In the fifth set, Simon’s turn of service paves the way for the success of Anastasi’s team.

Modena: Buchegger 22 points. Walls team 10. Aces team 9 (Buchegger 3)

Piacenza: Bovolenta 16 points. Walls team 7. Ace team 6 (Simon 3)
