Sweden’s Princess Birgitta was laid to rest on Sunday, according to the Swedish media.
The funeral was held at Drottningholm Castle Church in Lovö, Stockholm County. Birgitta was buried in the royal burial place in Haga park.
Birgitta received a private funeral according to her wishes. He was also buried in the place he wished for, in the landscapes of his childhood.
Swedish Aftonbladet says that the princess was carried to the grave in a white coffin topped with white flower wreaths. According to Aftonbladet, only the family and the closest people participated in the funeral ceremony.
Birgitta died in Mallorca at the age of 87 on December 4. Those close to the late Birgitta have said that the princess had a bad fall, as a result of which she broke her arm. In the hospital, the princess died.
