These weeks in The Hague it was about money, because the Schoof cabinet needs money. To realize these plans, the government wanted, among other things, to cut back on higher education and increase VAT. This is not possible without the support of the opposition in the Senate. The price they had to pay: some cuts are off the table for the time being.
