The athlete is still recovering from the muscle tear, but he has cautiously started training again. Doom has now set his sights on the world championship in Japan, but he prefers not to make any statements about the coming indoor season: “The World Cup in Japan in September next year. That is the main goal and hopefully I will be top fit by then.”
In the meantime, the European champion, together with friends and family, is enjoying the recognition he receives in his own city and was able to sign the golden book of Roeselare.
