Drs. GJ (Gerdo) van Grootheest will be the new mayor of the municipality of Oosterhout. At the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Council of Ministers has decided to nominate him for appointment. The appointment takes effect on January 15, 2025.
Mr Van Grootheest (45 years old) is a member of GroenLinks. He is currently mayor of the municipality of Culemborg.
Frans Backhuijs (VVD) is currently acting mayor of Oosterhout.
