Shima Kaes states that Johnny de Mol’s career and family life will be irreparably damaged if she shares evidence of his alleged abuse in a lawsuit. “Past.”

Johnny de Mol has admitted that his love affair with Shima Kaes did not deserve the beauty prize and that something really happened, but he denies serious assault and attempted manslaughter. However, she does not give up; there is currently an investigation underway in Ibiza and yesterday her Article 12 proceedings were heard in Amsterdam.

Denial

Johnny’s denial is incomprehensible, Shima’s press officer said in a press release. “He is familiar with the exceptional amount of evidence in the criminal file, including an audio recording in which the perpetrator confesses, app messages in which the perpetrator confesses, almost fifty photos of injuries to the victim and a hospital report.”

A hospital report of what? “From the night the violence took place and ten witnesses who want to make a statement against the perpetrator.”

Two things

There are two things going on at the moment, the spokesman explains. The incident in Spain took place after a wedding at Hotel ME in Ibiza. “Contrary to previous claims by his lawyer, Wout Morra, this concerns a separate crime in another country with its own legislation, for which a separate report has been made.”

This case is legally completely separate from the Dutch case, which took place after the Edison Gala, according to the press officer. “Both crimes occurred in 2015.”

Clear answer

The charges of serious assault and attempted manslaughter relate to the case in Ibiza. “After this, the perpetrator’s family offered the victim hush money through Els Verberk, the wife of John de Mol. The victim was deeply offended by this and immediately ended the conversation.”

Johnny was digitally interrogated by the Spanish court on Monday. “He has refused to answer all but one question. Awkward, because no answer is a very clear answer. The only question he wanted to answer was from his own lawyer: “Are the allegations true?” Johnny de Mol’s answer: ‘Absolutely not’.”

Career over

It’s a shame that this continues to drag on, says Shima. She proposed to Johnny in August to settle the case for 425 thousand euros. “If the evidence of his actions were made public through criminal cases in both the Netherlands and Spain, his career and family life would be over.”

That is why Shima said she was ‘prepared to give up her rehabilitation’. According to Shima’s spokesman, that proposal was ‘arrogantly refused’ and used for PR purposes. “Johnny’s lawyer has presented the settlement offer in the media as an (attempted) blackmail.”

Whether Shima’s Article 12 procedure has an effect and the Public Prosecution Service is forced to prosecute Johnny will become clear in a few months.
