Ellen ten Damme has caused astonishment with her revelation that Van Dorst Farm was staged. What else is fake about Raven van Dorst? “That farm isn’t real either!”
The already 40-year-old Raven van Dorst always pretends that his program Boerderij Van Dorst, in which he always interviews a different celebrity set, is so incredibly authentic. Pure and averse to all TV frills. But nothing could be further from the truth, as Ellen ten Damme has revealed. She was recently in the season finale and states that the show is certainly not sincere.
Staged
Ellen reveals that Raven’s program was largely staged. “I always forget that it’s TV and everything is fake. It seems like I’m cooking and have thought long and hard about a menu. But I cut some vegetables on screen and then something came to the table from the catering.”
“And then you have to play a kind of version of yourself: you’re welcome, do you like it? I find that difficult and get completely confused at such moments. While acting a role, getting into the shoes of someone else, takes no effort for me.”
Even more fake?
TV authority Tina Nijkamp finds this very striking. “Van Dorst Farm would be fake, wouldn’t it? That became apparent this weekend. Ellen ten Damme, who was a guest there, said: ‘Listen, it’s completely fake, because I didn’t have to cook there at all, catering just came in,'” she says in the podcast Tina’s TV Update.
Can we still trust that Raven? “How fake is that, that Van Dorst Farm? Well, the farm doesn’t belong to Raven at all!”, Tina shouts.
Fake farm
That farm is a fake farm, according to Tina. “That farm belongs to the municipality of Apeldoorn, so the destination of that farm is not that it is a farm, but that it will be a cultural center or something like that. In any case, Apeldoorn will make this a communal thing. In any case, that is what the zoning plan says.”
She concludes: “Apeldoorn has now made this available to BnnVara for the recordings, but it is not really Raven van Dorst’s farm.”
