BVB star will probably be missing against FC Bayern

Dortmund was able to prevail against Dinamo Zagreb in the premier class. However, Julian Brandt was injured in the game.
Shortly before the half-time break on Wednesday evening it already looked like BVB star Julian Brandt would have to leave the pitch in the Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb (3-0). He was substituted and then missed the second half of the game. Now everything looks like the offensive player will not be there on Saturday in the top Bundesliga game against FC Bayern (from 6:30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker).
The stand-in captain suffered a thigh injury against Dinamo Zagreb and was therefore taken off the pitch. Coach Nuri Şahin expressed skepticism after the game on DAZN: “I think it will be a tight weekend.” The national player is “extremely important” for BVB’s game, emphasized Şahin. Brandt himself hopes that the injury is not serious.
However, Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl admitted: “To be honest, I’m skeptical. If someone goes out before the end of the half, that’s not a good sign.”
Nuri Şahin continued: “I hope he comes back quickly because he is almost irreplaceable for us.” If Brandt were to be unavailable, Dortmund would have to rely on an alternative line-up in the attacking midfield at short notice – a difficult task given the importance of the top duel against the record champions.
