Linkin Park have announced an additional concert for their “From Zero” world tour. Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong and band will perform a second time in Frankfurt on July 9, 2025. This increases the number of their Germany concerts to five. The gig is advertised as a “final show”. There shouldn’t be anything more possible in this country, especially since Linkin Park have ruled out an appearance at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Presale starts on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Linkin Park: Plain text about Rock am Ring and Rock im Park
Now there is clarity on the question: Rock am Ring and Rock im Park with Linkin Park?
Clear answer: no!
Eventimpresents and PRK DreamHaus managing director Matt Schwarz said this in an interview. No Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong and band at these festivals. “Linkin Park will not be performing with us next year,” Schwarz told “morecore.de”. “Of course we would have really wanted that and we tried everything to get the band to do it, but it takes two to tango. I have been closely associated with the band for many years and have hosted numerous Linkin Park, Fort Minor and Dead By Sunrise tours in the past.”
“Germany is the most important market for Linkin Park”
And further: “Germany is an absolute key market for the band, if not their most important one worldwide. We presented the festival offers to them personally in Los Angeles, but the band strategically decided against a festival tour in Germany and instead went on their own stadium tour, which they completely sold out immediately after pre-sales started. We are very pleased with their success.”
The reason for this, says Matt Schwarz, is simple: “You can make more money with your own stadium tour than with festival shows.”
Linkin Park want to cash in big.
“Nevertheless, there are always acts who reject even financially extremely attractive festival offers because, as in the case of Linkin Park, they would rather play their own shows or not perform at all,” says Schwarz. “Ultimately, the artists themselves decide whether, when and where they perform. Negotiations for festival bookings can take weeks or even months. After the basic availability of a band has been clarified, we create detailed offers for the management and agencies.”
The rule of thumb used to be that you could make more money with festival shows than with individual concerts. That has changed massively. “Especially in the area of headliner booking, however, it has become much more difficult to attract big names to festivals. The drastic increase in ticket prices for our own tours combined with dynamic pricing has reduced the attractiveness of festival fees.”
And that’s exactly what makes negotiations with mega acts more difficult in order to win them over to festivals.
