Milano, 6 December. (askanews) – It will only be in the cinema Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th January the documentary Pino Daniele – Half blackwritten by Marco Spagnoli and Stefano Senardi, an intimate and profound portrait of the life and career of the Neapolitan singer-songwriter, one of the most important figures of Italian music. 10 years after the death of Pino Daniele, the documentary will be an opportunity to rediscover the man behind the artistthanks to the stories and emotions contained in one of his most representative albums.
Produced by Fidelio and Eagle Pictures, directed by Marco Spagnoli, Pino Daniele – Half black retraces the first part of Pino Daniele’s career. Through the eyes of Stefano Senardi, long-time friend and historic producer of Pino, the documentary offers an unprecedented look at the bond between the man and the artist, exploring the most authentic and personal side of the Neapolitan musician.
Senardi guides the audience through a series of exclusive interviews with some of Pino’s closest collaborators and friends. A real celebration not only of artist’s musicbut also of his thoughts, of his passion for Naples and his ability to continuously innovate the musical panorama. Among the protagonists of the interviews, the musicians who accompanied Pino Daniele in his extraordinary career, giving voice to unique stories and anecdotes.
