Second division clubs are vying for Bundesliga strikers

Ivan Prtajin has a difficult time at Union Berlin. However, several second division clubs have the striker on their list.
In the summer, Ivan Prtajin moved to 1. FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. The attacker came to Köpenick with the recommendation of 13 goals this season from second division relegated Wehen Wiesbaden. But his involvement in the capital has so far not borne fruit at all.
Prtajin was only in the squad twice. On Friday evening, the 28-year-old was allowed to play in a competitive game for Union for the first time in the league game in Stuttgart (2:3). He was substituted on five minutes before the end, but couldn’t prevent the defeat.
Despite his first minutes of action for Union, Prtajin is probably not really satisfied. He had been left out too often in the past few months. A departure in winter therefore seems to be a conceivable option. There is obviously no lack of interest for Prtajin.
As the pay-TV broadcaster Sky reports, three teams from the 2nd Bundesliga are vying for the Croatian. 1. FC Köln, among others, wants to sign Prtajin. However, no agreement has yet been reached with the cathedral townspeople. They say nothing has been decided yet. According to the report, the talks would continue.
Hannover 96 is also said to still be in the race for Prtajin. The Lower Saxony team was supposedly interested in the player in the summer and wanted to borrow him directly from Union. But a change did not take place. Prtajin stayed in Berlin – and it turned out to be a misunderstanding.
The third second division team that Prtajin is said to have on the list is 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Like Cologne and Hanover, the “Red Devils” are currently fighting for promotion to the Bundesliga and could use another attacker. Star striker Ragnar Ache is currently missing injured.
