Telstar had its affairs well in order at the Krommedijk in Dordrecht. “We played so extremely well before halftime,” said coach Anthony Correia. Apart from a shot against the crossbar of FC Dordrecht, it gave little away and the score was 0-1 via Zakaria Eddahchouri just before half time.

“I think we have to get more out of it,” says Bakker about the chances that Telstar had in the first half. “A match can change quickly, you know that. But things change very quickly for us these days.”

Turnaround

While the first half was of a high level according to the trainer, Telstar made unnecessary mistakes, causing FC Dordrecht to turn the match. Sem Valk, Korede Osundina and Jari Schuurman left the Sheep heads to 3-1 and with that the damage seemed to be done. Soufiane Hetli scored a very nice 3-2, but it came too late to make it really exciting.
