The North Face is releasing a capsule with US laundry provider Skims, designed for the slopes and the après-ski party afterwards.
The collection draws on the archives of the US outdoor specialist and gives the designs an update with the figure-hugging and body-hugging fit as well as the colors that Skims is known for, the cooperation partners said. These include shades of brown, beige and black, which are used for pieces such as base layers, bodysuits, accessories such as gloves and outerwear.
“The North Face always puts innovation and functionality first, and the collaboration space is no exception,” said David Whetstone, Director of Collaborations and Energy at The North Face. “With Skims we have maintained premium construction and materials, and this collaboration was born out of mutual admiration. The North Face continually draws inspiration from innovative, culture-shaping brands like Skims, and this limited-edition collection taps into the core strengths of both brands.”
The collection, which costs between $60 and $1,200 (€65 and €1,134), will be available from December 10th at Skims’ online shop and stores, as well as at The North Face stores and select retailers such as Ssense, Highsnobiety and Luisa available via Roma. The pieces are available in sizes XXS – 3X, S-XL. Shoes are available in sizes 36-42.
Skims was founded in 2019 by reality star Kim Kardashian and CEO Jens Grede. The brand started with women’s underwear, loungewear and shapewear, but has also been offering men’s underwear since 2023.
