Ella Junnila imitated her mother.
A large number of Finnish athletes will be seen at the castle celebrations again this year.
High jumpers arrived in the first wave of arrivals Ella Junnila and septuagenarian Saga Vanninen.
Junnila, 26, who set the Finnish record in her sport last summer, was excited about the invitation.
– I opened the door and that’s where it came from. It was pretty great to experience such an honor, he said in an interview with IL.
– I’m really looking forward to the musical performances. I hope I can also dance during the evening.
Junnila told in a funny way, imitating how her mother Ringa Ropo reacts to his daughter’s call.
– I don’t remember the exact words, but “OH WONDERFUL” seems to be pretty close, Junnila described and made people laugh.
There was no set plan for the length of the evening, as the day had started early.
– Let’s see how I can handle it. I woke up today at six in the morning to read Unknown soldier.

Vanninen hopes for encounters
Saga Vanninen arrived at Linna’s party without a companion. He said he was looking forward to meeting new people in the evening.
– It’s really nice to get to see new people. If you could talk to some people, that would be great, Vanninen smiled.
At the Paris Olympics, the Tampere Pyrinnö athlete finished 15th.
He is celebrating in Linna for the second time.
– It’s really a great honor to get here. Know that something good has been achieved this year.
Vanninen left to celebrate with an open mind. Jenni Gästgivar
