NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US stock markets continued their recent record price on Friday and went into the weekend mostly on a firmer note. Only the standard stocks on Wall Street were mostly soft. Technology stocks led the gainers. According to traders, current US labor market data spurred bets on one Interest rate cut the US Federal Reserve in December.
The Dow Jones Industrial closed 0.28 percent lower at 44,642.52 points. On a weekly basis, the leading index has lost 0.6 percent. The market-wide S&P 500 reached a high on Friday, ending 0.25 percent higher at 6,090.27 points. The NASDAQ 100 also set a record and ultimately rose by 0.92 percent to 21,622.25 points.
