The project will run through 20th Television’s television production division. The series was originally produced by ABC Studios, but due to a restructuring it has now been taken over by the Disney parent company. It is not yet known which actors will take part. According to Variety, there are currently no contracts for a new version of the hospital show. However, an insider revealed that Lawrence will at least not be appointed as “Scrubs” showrunner.

The series aired on NBC for seven seasons from 2001 to 2008. Two more seasons then ran on “ABC” from 2009 to 2010. In this country, the sitcom played on the “ProSieben” channel until 2011. The action took place in Sacred Heart Hospital and showed the entire everyday life of the employees in the hospital. John Michael Dorian (“JD”) embodied in an interview with “Variety” that he would definitely be involved in a reboot. “The idea of ​​getting back together with my friends and doing 10 or 12 episodes of maybe a season or two and just laughing with everyone? That sounds like a dream.”
