The weapon bunkers are an unmissable location in Chapter 5 Season 2 of Fortnite: here’s where you can find them and how they open.
One of the most popular features of Chapter 5 Season 1 is the ability to modify weapons. Adding better grips and sights to your weapons allows you to customize your loadout like never before, and it offers a great advantage.
Last season they were located in the Company’s vaults, but this time their whereabouts are a little less obvious.
In this guide, we will explain how to access the weapon bunkers in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 to mod your weapons. If you want to know all the new features of this season, including two new weapon mods, consult the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes.
Where to find weapon bunkers in Fortnite C5S2 —
The map above, courtesy of fortnite.gg, indicates the location of all the bunkers on the Chapter 5 Season 2 map. There are nine in total and can be found:
- South of Rebel’s Residence – under the road leading east from the POI
- West of the Underworld – just off the main road at the back of the POI
- West of Grim Gate – just before the bridge that leads to the grassy biome
- South of Piazza Piacevole – hidden among the trees
- South of Duel Wastes – across the river, south of the train tracks
- West of Mount Olympus – along the path that passes over the train tunnel
- North of Mount Olympus – along the main path between Mount Olympus and the Risky Rails
- North of the Risky Rails – across the bridge leading north, to the edge of the snowy biome
- East of Tana Tracotante: across the river and up the hill.
How to Open Weapon Bunkers —
Bunkers activate automatically during a match, but not all of them activate every match. After the third phase of the storm begins, the bunkers will begin to make an alarm sound with a loud siren that will spread through the nearby area – if the bunker you find is chained shut, it means it will not open in this game. 30 seconds after the bunkers start ringing, they will begin to open, allowing you to enter to use the mod bank and rare chests found there. Be careful when you go out, because players will camp outside to try to hit you as you go out, or at least that’s what we do to the poor unsuspecting victims.
