The long-awaited rains have arrived in Catalonia in the second weekend of March in the context of a drought that has left the reservoirs at 15%. The weather forecast had already warned since Wednesday of a new storm in the northwest of Spain that would lead widespread and abundant rainfall. And so it has been. The entire Catalan territory woke up this weekend to a light but sustained rain shower, especially in its eastern half. The situation in the Pyrenees is better, where the snowfall is leaving intense snowfalls above 700 meters.
