In the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first race of the season in the Formula 1 World Championship, Red Bull team’s Dutch pilot Max Verstappen will start from the first row.
In the qualifying rounds of the race, which will be held over 57 laps tomorrow at the 5.4-kilometer International Bahrain Circuit, Verstappen won the first pocket with a time of 1.29.179.
Ferrari pilot Charles Leclerc, 0.228 seconds behind Verstappen, took second place, and Mercedes pilot George Russell, who lapped the track 0.306 seconds slower, took third place.
The first race of the season will start on Saturday, March 2 at 18.00 CET.
Great Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, who will spend his last season with the Mercedes team in Formula 1, holds the title of the most successful pilot of the stage by winning the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was first held in 2004, 5 times. Hamilton topped the podium in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Verstappen, the champion of the last three years, crossed the checkered flag in first place in Bahrain last year and brought his team Red Bull its first stage win in Bahrain in 10 years.
