Evi Hanssen, sidekick of Ruud de Wild and former presenter of Expeditie Robinson, would prefer to see types like Yvonne Coldeweijer prosecuted. “Forbid it!”
According to the Flemish presenter Evi Hanssen, it is high time that we do something about juice channels such as those of Yvonne Coldeweijer. She finds it a reprehensible part of the media landscape. “It’s very strange. We don’t have that in Flanders and I am very happy about that,” she says radio show by Ruud de Wild, in which she is a sidekick.
Criminal record for Yvonne?
There should be legislation against this, Evi believes. “I thought to myself, now that news from those juice channels is going crazy: wouldn’t it… There are no laws yet, right, for social media. Couldn’t it be a law that it is forbidden to publish news or publish things that are not punishable? For example, adultery.”
In that situation, Yvonne could get a criminal record if she exposes the cheating of a celebrity like Nielson. “That is now simply shared by everyone, but shouldn’t that actually be a punishable offense, shouldn’t it be public?” says Evi, who also railed against the juice queen in the talk show Jinek.
Criminal behavior
Such Yvonne must be dealt with if she exposes adultery, according to the presenter. “Because that won’t hurt anyone, right? That’s not criminal behavior, is it? Why does that have to be made public? Isn’t that illogical what I’m saying now?
She continues: “The law needs to be changed. Just throwing everything out on the street that doesn’t really harm anyone else and is a private matter is not appropriate, so you certainly shouldn’t make money from that.”
‘Seems wonderful to me’
Ruud de Wild does not think that his sidekick goes too far in this. In fact, he also thinks it is a good idea that Yvonne could be prosecuted in these types of situations. “It seems wonderful to me. It seems fantastic to me.”
Lately, Ruud has been having a lot of fun on Yvonne’s juice platform. He is bothered by her persistent claims about an alleged relationship with Fajah Lourens: “He said: ‘Was I not clear?’ He really went wild.”
