GERMANY: – DAX RECORD EXPECTED – The German leading index Dax (DAX 40) is heading for the next record on Thursday morning after the US chip company Nvidia once again presented strong figures after the New York stock market closed. The leading index is likely to exceed the 17,200 point mark for the first time: the broker IG estimated it 0.56 percent higher at 17,213 points two hours before the start. The boom in artificial intelligence continues to drive strong growth at NVIDIA. This caused its shares to rise by nine percent in after-hours trading in New York. “This is likely to further fuel market optimism regarding the AI boom,” wrote the Commerzbank experts. For investors, this is one more reason to continue investing in stocks – despite indices at record highs.
USA: – SLIGHT PRICE GAINS – The minutes of the US Federal Reserve’s meeting had little effect on the New York stock exchanges on Wednesday. Thanks to a late rally, the standard value indices turned slightly positive: the leading index Dow Jones Industrial (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) ultimately gained 0.13 percent to 38,612.24 points, while the market-wide S&P 50 (S&P 500) also gained 0.13 percent went up 0.13 percent to 4981.80 points. The technology-heavy selection index NASDAQ 100 limited its decline to 0.38 percent with 17,478.91 points.
ASIA: – NIKKEI WITH RECORD – Almost three and a half decades after the speculative bubble burst on the Japanese stock market, the Nikkei 225 reached a record high on Thursday. The country’s leading index closed 2.2 percent higher. Strong figures from the chip company Nvidia provided a tailwind. The boom in artificial intelligence continues to ensure strong growth for the US group. This caused its shares to rise sharply in after-hours trading in New York and is providing a tailwind for stock markets worldwide. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index (Hang Seng) recently gained 0.6 percent. The CSI 300 with large stocks from the trading centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen in mainland China rose by 0.4 percent.
