Most New Yorkers are paying their way through rent. Even as a tourist you have to pay quite a bit of money for a stay in The Big Apple. But one man has surprisingly managed to live in an iconic hotel in the heart of Manhattan for five years without paying any rent. He made good use of a loophole in the law, reports AP news agency. But now his beautiful song has been sung. Prosecutors say Mickey Barreto, 48, went a step too far when he filed paperwork claiming ownership of the entire building and tried to charge another resident rent.
