Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that the application of foreign TV observers will start in the Trendyol Super League.
The foreign TV observer system application, which the Turkish Football Federation has included in its program for the development of Turkish refereeing, will come into force as of the 26th week of the Trendyol Super League. 10 foreign observers, including UEFA’s former elite referees, will serve Turkish football in the new era. The scores given by foreign observers will constitute 50 percent of the referee scoring system.
10 foreign observers, who currently hold senior positions in UEFA, will evaluate and score the referees working in the Trendyol Super League starting this week. The scores given by this observer group will constitute 50 percent of the referee scoring system in the new period and will play a decisive role in performance measurements. The other 50 percent of the scoring will be determined by the survey evaluation to be made by 119 people consisting of the VAR staff, referees and observers working in the top two leagues, as well as field observers.
