Grammys Performance: Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” Tops LyricFind Charts

After the Grammy performanceen On February 4th, several songs landed on the American Billboard LyricFind US list and the Global Charts. Both rankings are topped by Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car”.

Increased search for song lyrics

The LyricFind Global and LyricFind US charts show the fastest growing tracks, filtered by global and US song lyric searches. The data is collected by LyricFind. The company is considered a leading provider of licensed lyrics, with data provided by more than 5,000 publishers and used by more than 100 services, including Amazon, Deezer, Microsoft and iHeartRadio.

“Fast Car” was performed at the music awards ceremony as a duet by Chapman and Luke Combs. Combs himself covered the song for his last album GETTIN’ OLD.

Grammy performances ensure chart positions

The 1988 track is followed by Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, which lands at number two in the LyricFind US chart. Like Chapman, who rarely appears in public, Mitchell was a surprise act at the awards show. The performance at the 66th Grammys was her first to date – she withdrew in recent years due to health problems. Mitchell was supported in her performance by Brandi Carlile, among others.

Other Grammy songs that landed in the top ten include Paramore’s “This Is Why” at No. 8 in the US and Dua Lipa’s “Houdini” at No. 9 worldwide.
