By representing the first league of the Sultanate of Oman, Transfermarkt is expanding its portfolio on the Asian continent to include another competition. The Oman Professional League was founded 48 years ago, the record champions are the Dhofar Club with twelve titles, followed by Fanja SC with nine.
The reigning champion is Al-Nahda Club, closely followed by Al-Seeb Club, who are the current AFC Cup winners. The two most valuable teams also have the most valuable players in the league, which is currently on pause due to the ongoing Asian Cup, with Salah Al-Yahyaei (25, Al-Nahda) and Zahir Al-Aghbari (24, Al-Seeb). However, since Oman was already eliminated in the group phase, the resumption of play is imminent.
