Ahmet Arslan returns to Dynamo Dresden. The third division club has signed the attacking midfielder on loan from 1. FC Magdeburg until the end of the season. The deal does not include a purchase option. The 29-year-old was already active for SGD in the 2022/23 season, also on loan from Holstein Kiel. At that time he played 39 games and contributed a very strong 31 goals and eleven assists, making him both the best goalscorer and top scorer in the league.
“We are happy that the option arose to entice Ahmet to join us again. He knows the conditions here in Dresden, was top scorer in the 3rd league last season and can be an important building block for our team in this crucial second half of the season. We know about his quality from last season and are pleased that he can demonstrate it again for Dynamo,” explained sports director Ralf Becker about Arslan, who was only on the pitch for 290 minutes for FCM this season.
