The FC Bayern women’s team has a weekend off. The cup game in Offenbach is canceled for the time being. Frankfurt is similar.
The women’s DFB Cup games between Kickers Offenbach and FC Bayern and between Eintracht Frankfurt and SC Freiburg have been postponed due to weather conditions. The round of 16 game between the regional league team and the German champions from Munich, originally scheduled for next Sunday, will now take place on February 14th (7 p.m.), as the German Football Association announced on Wednesday.
The Frankfurters were actually supposed to play against their Bundesliga rivals from Breisgau next Monday, but will now play on February 8th (6:30 p.m.). Defending champions VfL Wolfsburg won their game 5-0 against Werder Bremen at the end of November. Coach Tommy Stroot’s team will face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim away in the quarter-finals.
The winners from Offenbach – FC Bayern play against the last remaining second division team FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The winner of the Frankfurt – Freiburg encounter will receive MSV Duisburg. The quarter-finals will take place between March 5th and 7th, the semi-finals on March 30th and 31st and the final on May 9th in Cologne.
