The China-critical ruling party wins the third presidential election in a row in Taiwan. The country’s residents went to the electoral booth on Saturday to elect a new president. Although the country has only 23.5 million inhabitants, the election attracted a lot of international attention from the United States and China, because of the country’s disputed political status.
